Product Description
M1 Garand Bayonet 1943 OL w/Scabbard 10" "Bowie" Point WWII MODIFIED
WWII Oneida Limited "OL" 1943 production M1905 M1 Garand Bayonet modified to 10" with "Bowie Cut" tip on blade. Comes with proper US marked Scabbard. Blade has very nice original finish. Blade is marked "OL" for Oneida Limited, Oneida, NY with US and Ordnance flaming cannonball with 1943 date stamp. This was originally a M1905 16" bayonet that was cut down to 10" as many of the longer original bayonets were modified this way in WWII when the 10" bayonet became standard length. You can tell these modified bayonets by the blood groove which extends to the tip. Bayonet shows age but otherwise in excellent condition. Click on images for larger view of actual bayonet. *Note "Bowie" Tipped bayonets are the earliest modified bayonets done during the war and the Bowie tip was stopped soon after since these resembled Japanese style bayonets. Interesting factoid about why they changed the style. Select UPS Ground for shipping option for Bayonets. We will ship these US Postal and correct shipping if cheaper for you.Product Videos
