***Note these safeties have tips removed and because of that are sold as non functional parts since the safety no longer prevents hammer from falling, hence the cheap price. On a historical note, these safeties are NOT really broken from use, they were MODIFIED by GI's in the field as it was found that by removing the tip the safety would engage and disengage quietly. So if you find your trigger group has a tip broken off....leave it! The last user was a combat soldier!! Field modified SA11 Coded M1 Garand Springfield Safeties, marked SA11 and SA 11. Springfield varied with space and no space between the SA and the 11 in post war production. These were appropriate for Post WWII SA M1 Garands in the 4.2 mil thru end of production ser# range.
