M1 Garand Safety Springfield C46015-9SA WWII Field Modified
***Note these safeties have tips removed and because of that are sold as non functional parts since the safety no longer prevents hammer from falling, hence the cheap price. On a historical note, these safeties are NOT really broken from use, they were MODIFIED by GI's in the field as it was found that by removing the tip the safety would engage and disengage quietly. So if you find your trigger group has a tip broken off....leave it! The last user was a combat soldier!!
Field modified WWII Springfield Production M1 Safeties, marked C46015-9SA. 9SA Safeties were used on production M1s from mid Aug 1942 thru end of Aug 1943 (ser range 77x,xxx thru 1,877,654), also used as spares in later rifles and during rebuild. Two pictured available so select quantity desired when adding to cart. Note the production variance in finish colors, all are original and have NOT been through refinish, just need a good wiping off.
