Product Description
M1 Garand Barrel Springfield November 1944 "Field Grade"
M1 Garand Barrel, WWII Springfield September 1944. Barrel is marked "3 S A 11 44." Finish may be a repark but looks to be original and is 80%+/- with even wear. Barrel has Chromed Gas Port (some WWII barrels were chromed as early as 1943 so not unusual). Bore is actually very clean with a Muzzle Erosion (ME) 4.5 on gauge and Throat Erosion (TE) of 3.5 so this is a "Field Grade" barrel with some shooting life left in it but better suited for a restoration since muzzle wear is high. Our Field Grade ratings are based on CMP standards of Field Grade being Muzzle is over 3 and Throat is under a 5.
