M1 Garand Type I Lock Bar 6-40 NF Thread for Short Pinions NEW
NEW REPRODUCTION M1 Garand Type I Lock Bar with Radius for Early Lock Bar Rear Sights as used during WWII. Very nice copy made in the USA to the original Springfield design prints. These new production parts are parked to the original spec finish MIL-STD-171. Sold individually.
Type I Lock Bars with Radius were used for a very short period from March - December 1942 (serial range 500,000 through 1,100,000). Type I lock bars were threaded for smaller Short Pinions ( 6-40 NF threads) unlike the later Type II Bar with radius which was threaded for the later Long Pinions ( 8-36 NF thread ). Though they look same as a Type II bar, the Type I will ONLY fit on 6-40 NF threaded SHORT PINIONS!
