M1 Garand Receiver used by the Marine Corps. This is a 1,870,334 August of 1943 Springfield Receiver with the "0-66" electropencil on shelf of rear sight, indicating a Crane Depot overhaul so this was a Navy/USMC Rifle when it was complete! Receiver is very nice condition as is finish. Nice and clean underwood with no pitting. Bones from a rifle that didn't make it to the "keeper" pile. This is not an import, not a reweld or refinish from cmp rebuild yard. Nice oddity for those looking for a piece of history from Crane!
