Milled Trigger Guards with letter/number codes on inside of finger guard indicate production and use from mid to late range, approximately Spring of 1943 thru February 1945 (approx ser# range 1,6xx,xxx thru 3,53x,xxx). Earlier milled guards without drawing number from Dec 1941 thru Spring of 1943 do not have this letter code inspection mark.
