Original Boxe of .276 "Pedersen" rounds. 1929 Production, very rare ammo. Box is in excellent condition with intact paper seals. All original rounds are present and mint. Nice piece of History for Garand Collectors. Only one box pictured available. The .276 cartridge was used in the testing of rifles in the late 20's. John Pederson and John Garand designs were tested using these, the rifles designated Semi-automatic Rifles, both T1 and T3, Caliber .276. The .276 cartridge use was due to the thought that a .30 cal semi automatic rifle could not be designed around it, that was light enough. In 1932 The War Dept adopted the .30 vs .276 and this round became a part of history. Click on images for larger view of Actual box available.Product Videos
